I ve had this unit for just over a year now and it s been extremely good to me. Despite its small size, it has managed to deliver crisp and clear output, especially when powered by my headphone amplifier. I ve used it as both a stand-alone headphone amp and a portable DAC with my iPhone, iPad, and laptop. Its clear and neutral tonality is a treat for anyone who likes to listen to music.

The AD5 features ESS s state-of-the-art 32-bit ESS ES9016 DACs which are designed to offer superior SN ratio and dynamic range with a superior low-jitter clock circuit. This combination works to minimize noise levels and provide excellent sound quality over the entire audio range for rich and expressive reproduction of even the most delicate sounds.

ESS s patented 32-bit Hyper Stream, Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) compensation function reduces noise levels to produce exceptional clarity and resolution for accurate and accurate audio reproduction from digital sources. It also eliminates the potential difference between audio circuit stages that can cause ground noise to occur, dramatically enhancing silence and resolution over the entire sound range.

Dual USB-C interfaces enable convenient connection of two PCs and mobile devices for multi-platform synchronous live streaming. These interfaces support both mono and stereo audio outputs, which are ideal for a variety of musical applications.
